Two California Aerial Rental Outfits Merge to Form RESCO

Corona-based West Coast Equipment LLC and D&D Lift have merged, and to preserve their hard-won brand recognition, each company will retain their individual name, logo and unique brand identity.

Two California rental companies have merged to form a new entity – Rental Equipment Service Company (RESCO).

Corona-based West Coast Equipment LLC and D&D Lift have merged, and to preserve their hard-won brand recognition, each company will retain their individual name, logo and unique brand identity. The merger makes RESCO one of the largest independently owned, full-service dealers in the state, which will allow both companies to better leverage their size and resources on behalf of their customers.

The two companies partnered earlier this year. Despite the merge, each company will keep its name, logo and brand identity.

According to West Coast Equipment president Shaun Flanagan, “We decided to merge with D&D because we want to expand our footprint throughout the state while remaining competitive. Our customers will benefit from the merger by having more options with the same great service and depth of knowledge that they’ve grown accustomed too.”

West Coast Equipment was founded by current vice president of sales Dave Robidoux in 1984. In 2006, he partnered with Shaun Flanagan, founder and owner of Horizon High Reach, and Jeff Davis who also worked at Horizon High Reach. D&D Lift was founded in 1981 by Dave Priolo Sr., his wife Lorraine and son.

“I see our merger with D&D Lift as part of the continuing evolution of our company. It’s a very positive development,” Robidoux said.

George Barberick, CEO and vice president of sales for D &D Lift Inc., added, “This is a great opportunity for us and our customers because we’ll be able to supply them in a more timely and efficient manner. Where we used to be competitors, now we can pool the best of our resources and expertise. It’s a win-win-win situation.”
