Pettibone has expanded its X-Series line with two telehandlers designed to support high-capacity lifting and improved jobsite efficiency — the Extendo 1044X and the new Extendo 1536X. Both machines are engineered to meet demanding worksite conditions, offering high load capacities and extended reach without the need for complex stabilization systems.

Extendo 1044X: No Outriggers, No Compromise

The Extendo 1044X telehandler maintains a maximum load capacity of 10,000 pounds even without outriggers — a spec typically seen only in units with additional stabilizing features. This design choice allows for quicker setup and reduced operational complexity, supporting fast-paced jobsite demands.

Key performance specs include:

  • Max load capacity: 10,000 lb
  • Max lift height: 44 ft, 6 in
  • Forward reach: 30 ft
  • Travel speed: Up to 15.2 mph
  • Visibility: Single lift cylinder allows for improved operator sightlines
  • Boom design: A compression tilt system uses a smaller bore cylinder while maintaining tilt force
  • Extension mechanism: A single extension chain simplifies maintenance and eliminates the need to synchronize dual chains

Extendo 1536X: Built for Heavier Loads and Specialized Applications

Pettibone’s latest entry, the Extendo 1536X, increases lifting capacity to 16,000 pounds and introduces options for specialized material handling, including a pipe and pole baler attachment. This makes it particularly suited for stockyards and utility applications where handling large poles or heavy pipe is required.

Key performance specs include:

  • Max load capacity: 16,000 lb
  • Max lift height: 36 ft
  • Forward reach: 25 ft
  • Travel speed: Up to 15.2 mph
  • Operator visibility: Supported by a single lift cylinder
  • Boom design: Compression tilt design maintains tilt force with a smaller cylinder
  • Durability: Heavy-duty extension chains support boom function and service life

Both models reflect a continued industry trend toward higher-capacity machines with streamlined operation, reduced maintenance needs, and compatibility with niche attachments. These telehandlers are positioned to support a wide range of applications, from general construction to utility and material handling.
