DEVELON has introduced the DX270WMH-7, a wheel material handler designed for recycling and solid waste facilities.
The new model features nearly three additional feet of reach and an elevated cab to improve visibility when loading trucks, containers and railcars. A virtual wall setting helps prevent the boom and arm from hitting surrounding objects, giving operators more control in tight spaces.
The machine is built to move heavy loads such as car bodies and bulky scrap materials using grapple or magnet attachments. Its reinforced chassis and undercarriage are designed to handle demanding material handling tasks while minimizing downtime.
For operator comfort, the cab includes an adjustable heated seat, climate control, joystick steering and an 8-inch LCD monitor for machine diagnostics. Safety features include wider outriggers for stability, a collision prevention system, a 360-degree camera option and LED work lights.
The DX270WMH-7 is equipped with a low-maintenance engine aftertreatment system that eliminates the need for a diesel particulate filter, along with a reversible fan to reduce debris buildup. The machine also comes standard with DEVELON’s telematics platform, MY DEVELON, for monitoring equipment performance and location.
