Wolverine has introduced the USA-Built Loader II DuraShocks Wedge, a new work boot designed for construction, manufacturing and other skilled trades. The launch is part of a broader campaign recognizing skilled trades workers ahead of the nation's 250th anniversary.
Built in Texas using a combination of domestic and globally sourced materials, the boot features Wolverine's DuraShocks comfort system, a wedge outsole and Goodyear welt construction. It is available with waterproof leather and multiple safety toe options.
According to the company, the wedge outsole is designed to provide stability and comfort for workers who spend long hours on concrete, while the outsole's 13 traction bars and red, white and blue stitching pay tribute to the American flag.
Also part of the USA campaign, Wolverine is holding an "American Dream" contest, with one winner selected from each state to receive a pair of USA-built boots and an American-made flag.
