STRAUSS and 1620 Workwear joined forces for a technical work pant collaboration that bridges the Atlantic.
The STRAUSS x 1620 Workwear collaboration intertwines STRAUSS’ workwear design language with 1620’s best-in-class fabric innovation and expertise.
“1620 is as authentic as they come, with fabrics made from material grown and woven in the U.S. and products specifically designed to honor Americans who appreciate a job well done,” says STRAUSS CEO Henning Strauss.
The collection features two highly technical iterations of the iconic American utility pant, including a knee-pad compatible version alongside a more-traditional design. Each piece is built with 1620’s new lightweight Stretch NYCO twill, the latest iteration of its proprietary U.S.-made NYCO blend.
Though a newcomer to the American market, STRAUSS understands the emphasis that American workers place on Made-in-America products.
“Ted, Josh, and I are old friends,” says Strauss, speaking of his counterparts at 1620, the brand’s co-founders, Ted De Innocentis and Josh Walker. “For years, we’ve been exchanging thoughts and philosophies on products, styling, and the future of workwear. With this collection, together, we’re trying to develop the next generation of performance workwear. And I think we’ve accomplished it.”
STRAUSS and 1620 Workwear hope this will be the first step in a long relationship that continues to push the boundaries of workwear innovation in America and all over the world.
