The PRO-PLUS trench drain is an SMC/GRP material manufactured using glass-fiber reinforced polyester (GRP) pressed from sheet molding compound (SMC), which is a composite of polyester resin, mineral fillers, and glass-fiber mats. Its compressive, flexural, and tensile strength is unmatched, and its unique properties allow for less thermal expansion than polymer concrete, polypropylene, or high-density polyethylene.
The PRO-PLUS system can withstand extreme hot or cold weather conditions and high fluid temperatures preventing shape distortion before and after the concrete pour. This trench drain is 1.5 times stronger, 70% lighter in weight, and 1.7 times less thermal expansion than polymer concrete. It’s available with/without slope, with a variety of grating options such as the PRO-SNAP grate securing system with no bolts, and is suitable for load classes A-F.
Josam’s PRO-PLUS channels are made in the USA with enhanced features and benefits. Along with its high quality and unmatched strength, the PRO-PLUS features rebar supports molded into the channels, eliminating the chance for channel floating during concrete pour and pre-installed securing screws, saving time during installations. The channels also feature bottom outlets located at every 19.7 in., allowing for greater layout flexibility and less wasted material. Additional features include; locking-bar slots in neutral channels for when DI Frames are specified.
