The voting members of the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) elected Brady Meldrem, President of Norris Asphalt Paving Co. in Ottumwa, Iowa, as the Chairman of the Board for 2024.
According to the press release:
A longtime NAPA member, Meldrem has served in numerous volunteer capacities. In addition to years of Board service, notable contributions include elevating issues and innovations from his home state of Iowa as State Advisor for 11 years, as well as increasing the industry’s focus on warm-mix asphalt as a member of that task force. His ascent from membership to chairmanship mirrors his career, which he began as a truck driver, then rose to become president. Meldrem was inducted into the Iowa Hot Mix Asphalt Hall of Fame in 2017 by the Asphalt Paving Association of Iowa.
In addition to Meldrem's election to Chairman, the other 2024 National Officers included First Vice Chair Patrick Nelson, President & CEO of Lehman-Roberts Co. in Memphis, Tenn.; Second Vice Chair Jay Lemon, President of Haskell Lemon Construction Co. in Oklahoma City; Secretary Jason Duininck, Partner at Duininck Inc. in Chaska, Minn.; and Treasurer Robert Doucet, President of Barrett Industries, a Colas Co., in Morristown, N.J.
Meldrem's term will not officially begin until he is sworn in by the 2023 Chairman of the board, Christian Zimmermann, at the 2024 NAPA Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, January 28-31 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.
