BOMAG Americas Inc. announces plans for product manufacturing transitions to its new North American headquarters in Ridgeway, SC.  In August 2015, BOMAG will begin transitioning its Cedarapids asphalt paving and CMI reclamation/stabilization equipment production from the current Oklahoma City, OK facility.

“Our strategy provides a North American epicenter for operations in South Carolina and positions us for sustained growth and competitiveness in our markets,” states Walter Link, president of BOMAG Americas Inc. “This is a very exciting era in the evolution of BOMAG and the FAYAT group.”

Rob Mueckler, vice president of sales for BOMAG Americas, also notes, “The infrastructure advantages will contribute to new processes and expand support and service to our paving and road building customers.  Cedarapids and CMI are both well respected brands in the industry, and we look forward to continuing to provide this equipment to our customers.”

Equipment manufacturing transition from Oklahoma City to Ridgeway is expected to be completed by October 2015. For the paving equipment line, this transition includes the Cedarapids CR300, CR400, CR500, and CR600 Series pavers, CR662RM RoadMix material transfer vehicle, MS Series of material transfer devices, and Fastach and Stretch screeds. On the asphalt rehabilitation side of the business, the transition includes CMI Reclaimer/Stabilizers.
