Asset Register captures asset data throughout construction, helping contractors simplify project closeout and provide owners with complete digital records.

Procore has introduced Asset Register, a new tool within its Asset Management platform designed to help contractors capture asset information throughout construction rather than waiting until project closeout.

The tool creates a centralized digital record for installed assets by continuously collecting documentation such as inspections, warranties, manuals, RFIs and as-built drawings as work progresses. The goal is to reduce the manual effort typically required during project handover while providing owners with more complete asset records to support commissioning and facility operations.

According to Procore, project teams often spend weeks compiling asset documentation at the end of a project, while incomplete or disconnected records can delay building turnover and operations.

Asset Register allows contractors to organize installed assets in a searchable register, update records from the field using mobile devices and QR codes, maintain an audit trail from installation through handover and export asset data for owner maintenance systems. The platform also includes 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) asset viewing in the U.K. and Ireland, with broader availability planned for fall 2026.

The new tool is integrated into the Procore platform and is intended to create a continuous digital record of project assets that can also support future AI-powered workflows. In Europe, it is designed to help organizations meet digital documentation requirements, including the Building Safety Act's "Golden Thread" framework.
