Construction at 432 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan stopped briefly after a section of guardrail fell from a hoist near the top of the building. Construction resumed one day after the stop-work order was imposed. The 8-foot-long section of guardrail became dislodged from the hoist, which was at the 81st floor of the 96-story building. The guardrail landed in front of the main entrance of an occupied building across the street. Luckily, nobody was injured.
