OSHA To Hold Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health Meeting

July 27-28 meeting open to the public, and individuals are welcome to submit comments and requests to speak.

WASHINGTON - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will hold a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH) July 27-28 in Washington, D.C. ACCSH work groups will meet July 27, and the full committee will meet July 28.

ACCSH, established under the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, has advised the Secretary of Labor and Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health for more than 35 years on construction standards and policy matters.

The ACCSH agenda will include remarks from Dr. David Michaels, Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health; updates from the Directorates of Construction and Cooperative and State Programs; and an update on the Injury and Illness Prevention Program proposed rulemaking.

The committee and work group meetings will convene at the U.S. Department of Labor, Room N-3437 A-C, 200 Constitution Ave., N.W., Washington, DC 20210. ACCSH work groups will meet throughout the day, Wednesday, July 27. See the Federal Register notice for the work group meeting times. The full committee meeting will be held from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 28.
