PALFINGER Announces New Vice President Sales, Service 

Ismael Daneluz has joined PALFINGER’s North America region in the executive capacity of vice president sales and service. Daneluz will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, based on the company’s goals, that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization, as well as target specific market segments and geographic locations. Daneluz is currently vice president of sales and service for PALFINGER in Latin America and will continue to be a member of the Latin American Leadership Team in a dual-role.

Daneluz has a degree in business administration, with specializations in marketing and strategy, and has an executive master's degree in corporate finance and law from ESADE Business & Law School. He brings more than 17 years of management experience working in Europe and Latin America, in many roles including sales and business development, corporate strategy, project management, finance and purchasing at PALFINGER locations in Brazil, Austria and Spain.

In 2018, Daneluz became the managing director of Tim Hortons Iberia, and rejoined the PALFINGER Group a few years later, where together with the LATAM regional management team drove significant growth in the region with record sales and EBIT performance.

Stickels Named Takeuchi Northeast Region Business Manager

Takeuchi-US has named Carl Stickels as its new regional business manager (RBM) for the northeast region. Stickels will replace current Northeast RBM Mark Barndollar, who is retiring after a long and successful career in construction equipment sales, including almost seven years with Takeuchi. Stickels will now be responsible for all sales development and activity in the multi-state region, including dealer development and recruitment, inventory control, forecasting, promotions and the support of national and direct accounts

“Carl has outstanding experience, both in retail sales and the compact equipment industry,” said John Vranches, national sales manager for Takeuchi-US. “While Mark’s retirement leaves us with some big shoes to fill, we’re very confident in Carl’s long track record of success. Based in Cortland, N.Y., Stickels comes to Takeuchi after 12 years as a territory and sales manager with an equipment distributor, gaining valuable experience in the heavy equipment marketplace. Prior to his tenure there, Stickels spent more than 15 years in other roles, honing his sales, training and customer service skills.

“Having worked in this industry for a long time, I know firsthand about Takeuchi equipment and what it has to offer,” Stickels said. “I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve learned about compact equipment sales and service to help our Northeast dealers introduce even more customers to the positive benefits of owning and operating a Takeuchi machine.”

Adamson Joins Transervice as Midwest Director of Develpment

Nicholas Adamson has joined Transervice Logistics Inc., a provider of customized fleet maintenance and transportation solutions, as director of business development, Midwest.

In this position, he will be managing all sales opportunities for the Midwest region of the United States, with a high emphasis on developing new relationships in the states of Illinois, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. 

Adamson was previously a lease sales representative and rental sales representative with Penske Truck Leasing in Lubbock, Texas.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Oklahoma State University.

Superior Construction Hires James Lapp 

Superior Construction, an American family-owned infrastructure contractor, is proud to announce James Lapp as its new Division Manager, Transit. In this newly created role, Lapp will develop and pursue large-scale transit and transportation projects across the southeast and beyond.

Lapp joins Superior with more than two decades of construction industry experience managing and pursuing complex heavy civil projects from conception to completion. He previously served as the southeast regional manager for a national commercial landscape and hardscape company where he was responsible for pursuing and completing projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Prior to that, Lapp spent more than 15 years focused on transit-related projects at the Walsh Group where he was responsible for the pursuit and management of numerous large-scale transit projects in the southeast, including the Automated People Movers located in the Atlanta, Tampa, and Orlando airports. In addition, he worked on major rail projects for MARTA, Brightline and FDOT’s SunRail.

"James has the professional experience, management skills and industry relationships that make him an ideal fit to lead our Transit Division," said Kevin McGlinchey, southeast business unit president. Lapp graduated from Valdosta State University with a bachelor of science degree in environmental science and engineering studies and earned a project management certificate from the University of Georgia. He is working out of Superior's Jacksonville headquarters. 


MAJOR Expands Customer Service, Sales Teams 

MAJOR, a global manufacturer of wire screening media named Ian Edwards as senior director of global sales and customer service, Judas Vriseno as regional director of sales, Tom Costello as regional manager of sales and national accounts and Ryan Pintar as customer service director. Each position will focus on bringing processing solutions to quarries and mines worldwide to better serve its customers and increase plant productivity.

Edwards’ new role as the senior director responsible for global sales and customer service is to focus on building relationships with dealers and direct partners to best support customers worldwide. He brings more than a decade of experience to his new role, also serving as a territory manager within the company for nearly two years. He has a degree in business administration from John Abbott College as well additional training in the Smith School of Business in project management and leading change. Edwards is a MAJOR certified FLEX-MAT expert and has received training at Performance Associates International Inc. (PAI) in open pit mining, mineral processing utilities and particle size classification.

Vriseno was promoted to MAJOR’s regional director of sales where he is responsible for the management and training of independent dealers, sales representatives and territory managers. He will serve Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, the Gulf Coast region, Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean. Vriseno brings 25 years of experience in maintenance, quality control, production management and aggregate sales to his new position, which allows him to have a complete understanding of customer needs. More than four of those years spent with MAJOR as a territory manager where he earned his MAJOR screening expert certification. Vriseno has an associate degree in network administration, training in AggFlow software for plant processing and considerable experience performing and reading gradations to meet product specifications.

Costello offers more than 20 years of industry experience, serving as a territory manager at MAJOR for five years before being promoted to regional manager of sales. In this new role, he will continue serve operations in the central and southeastern United States.

Pintar joins the MAJOR team as its new customer service director. He will oversee the customer service team and implement new processes to streamline interactions with customers to provide unparallel support. He will serve Latin America, western Canada and the United States and Eastern Europe. Pintar brings 15 years of customer service experience to MAJOR, formally serving as a business development manager.

 CMA Announces Weller Retirement 

Double Coin and CMA, a tire manufacturer and marketer announced effective July 31 that Walt Weller will retire from his role as senior vice president. Weller will serve as a consultant, working with CMA.

Weller’s retirement follows a tenure with the company of more than 16 years, during which he was instrumental in growing the sales staff of national and regional sales managers from single to double digits, as well as expanding territories to Mexico and Central America. developing a business plan for the North American commercial market, expanding the number of points of sale to 2,000+, and dramatically improving the awareness of the Double Coin brand.

"We want to thank Walt for his leadership and impact within the organization,” said Mike Yang, president of CMA. “A steadfast and strategic leader, Walt has been instrumental in the evolution of CMA’s success, overseeing numerous transformational changes to the company. We are grateful to Walt for his dedication and wish him nothing but the best in this next chapter.”

“Walt has been extremely influential in the industry,” said John Hagg, vice president of sales and operations for Double Coin, Canada. “I worked with Walt in 1979 and since then, he has been a mentor, boss, friend and fellow warrior.”

Commenting on his retirement, Weller said, “It has been an honor to work in this industry and for CMA, contributing to the growth and transformation. I want to offer my sincere thanks to our employees whose hard work and dedication have allowed us to achieve so much. I also want to thank our customers and colleagues for their ongoing support. Serving my last year in a consultancy role is a great way to transition into retirement. I have been blessed to be able to work in an environment that fostered an entrepreneurial spirit and allowed me, along with our team, to implement a strategy that has proven its validity. For that privilege I owe our president, Mike Yang, a huge debt of gratitude. 

Prior to his role at CMA, Weller held senior management positions in sales, operations and marketing, at Bridgestone Firestone Tire Sales Co., American Tire and Service Stores, Bridgestone Firestone de Mexico and Goodyear Tire and Rubber. While at Bridgestone Firestone Sales Co., Weller spent almost two years working in the Tokyo headquarters of Bridgestone Corporation in the North American Division supporting the company’s transition efforts after the purchase of Firestone.

Weller’s tire industry career began with Michelin Tire Corp. in 1977.

Prince Joins Attentive as Head of Business Development 

Attentive Inc, the Delaware-based business management software provider for landscaping and other outdoor services industries, has brought Shawn Prince onboard as its head of business development. The announcement comes days after the company raised $5 million from Sequoia India’s Surge Fund and InfoEdge Ventures.

According to Attentive, the appointment is a part of the company's vision of bringing business management software that promotes productivity and growth to the $200 billion outdoor services industry.

“We are excited to have Shawn onboard and lead our business development in the U.S.,” said Shiva Dhawan, co-founder and CEO of Attentive. “Shawn is an established leader in the landscaping industry. With over 17 years of experience in the industry across sales and operations, he understands the problems faced by the industry, which aligns with our vision of being problem-first in building solutions.”

Prince will lead business development for Attentive’s software products for the landscaping and other outdoor services businesses.

“Attentive’s automated software is the breakthrough the commercial landscaping industry has been waiting for. I have worked long enough in the industry to realize the value Attentive is bringing to the table. I’m looking forward to adding value to the team and driving business growth with Attentive,” said Prince.

Attentive is all set to launch its end-to-end sales automation platform on Aug 8th. Prior to joining Attentive, Prince worked with Continuum Services as the vice president of business development. Before that, he held multiple positions with BrightView, including regional sales leader, business development executive and branch manager.

He started his career with The Brickman Group (now BrightView Landscapes) and worked there for 10 years in business development and operations.
