JLG Names Daw VP of Global Procurement and Supply Chain for Oshkosh Access Segment

JLG Industries, Inc. has announced that industry-veteran Andy Daw is the new vice president of global procurement and supply chain for the Oshkosh Access segment, which includes the JLG aerial equipment and Jerr-Dan towing and recovery equipment brands. In this role, Daw leads the brands’ global procurement and supply chain teams, providing a strategic vision for growth and implementing enterprise-wide initiatives to build and maintain a resilient supply chain for the company.

Daw comes into this position with more than 20 years of working experience in the heavy equipment and engine industries.

“The complementary combination of procurement and supply chain responsibilities in this role appealed to me because it allows me to use my understanding of how the market works and apply my knowledge of the industry’s supply chain dynamics to build healthy relationships with vendors. My emphasis is on fostering collaboration to increase efficiencies and drive growth — not just for the Access segment but also for our business partners,” Daw said.

According to Daw, he will help JLG navigate the current market uncertainty by calling on both global and domestic suppliers to be part of the solution. He says it’s not about location but where the organization’s demands are best met.

Before joining the company, Daw built and led globally diverse supply chain and engineering teams for Caterpillar Inc. and Perkins Engines, Ltd. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in business from Birmingham City University.

LGMG Announces Western Canada Workforce Additions

LGMG North America announced the addition of two new Western Canadian team members: Darcy White and Joey Yusefawich.

White has accepted the position of regional service manager, Western Canada at LGMG North America. White has more than 20 years in the equipment industry, having spent more than 10 years with Skyreach Equipment. Skyreach Equipment is one of the original premier access equipment rental companies in Western Canada. Most recently, for the past 10 years, White worked as the senior product support manager in Western Canada for Terex/Genie.

Yusefawich has accepted the position of regional sales manager, Western Canada. Yusefawich comes to LGMG with a combined 20-plus years of sales leadership and territory sales management in Western Canada. He has spent the past 16 years in the scaffolding, shoring and concrete forms industry, including six years as an owner operator of his own business. He brings a wealth of sales management experience which he will be able to leverage as he works to expand our business throughout Western Canada.

Brokk Welcomes Western Canada Sales Manager

Brokk, a manufacturer of remote-controlled demolition machines, is growing in Canada and recently named Troy Steele regional sales manager for the western region of the country. Steele has 16 years of experience in equipment sales and will serve Brokk customers across all industries, including demolition, construction, mining, cement, metal processing and tunneling. He will also serve Aquajet Hydrodemolition customers in Western Canada.

“The time is right to expand the Brokk and Aquajet team in Canada, and Troy has the experience to hit the ground running. With his previous work in cutting, coring and demolition, he provides strong insight to help contractors and plants find solutions to their most pressing challenges,” said Lars Lindgren, president of Brokk Inc. “He also brings great energy to his position with his passion for being out in the field and working hands-on with customers.”

Before joining Brokk, Steele served as national sales manager for Cyclone Diamond Products where he was responsible for all sales and leading the sales team in Canada. His other past positions include manager of business development for Champion Group, district manager for Wacker Neuson and account manager for Hilti Canada.

Steele earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a finance and economics concentration, from University College of Cape Breton. He lives in Calgary, Alberta.

CMA Appoints Murphy as SVP

Double Coin and CMA LLC, a tire manufacturer and marketer, announced Aaron Murphy has been appointed senior vice president.

Murphy will focus on further developing the sales teams and strategies in North America, as well as supporting corporate objectives underway to support the growth. He will be based in Florida.

This marks a return to CMA for Murphy, who previously served as vice president, from 2005 through 2015.

“Aaron’s appointment is the culmination of a robust planning process,” says Mike Yang, president of CMA. "A decisive and energetic leader with deep expertise, Aaron is a recognized authority and we’re happy to welcome him back at CMA.”

Prior to his return to CMA, Murphy served as vice president of commercial tire sales at TBC Corp. for more than six years. Murphy’s career began in 1996 with Bridgestone Firestone.

Motion Announces SVP Appointment

Motion Industries, Inc., a distributor of maintenance, repair and operation replacement parts, and a provider of industrial technology solutions, announced that Lisa Solomon has been promoted to senior vice president - corporate accounts.

Solomon joined the company in 2015 as a business development manager focused on an automotive industry account, before transitioning the same year into an automotive specialist role concentrating on a different automotive account.

In 2016, she expanded her role to a corporate accounts manager overseeing the entire automotive segment. In 2021, Solomon was promoted to area vice president - corporate accounts, leading a team of 16 sales professionals in the central group.

In her new role, Solomon will lead all of Motion’s corporate accounts in North America, plus other company teams, including the corporate accounts support group, corporate accounts development, P2 MRO, Onsite Solutions, Energy Services and International Sales. She will report directly to James Howe, executive vice president - ecommerce, sales excellence, strategic pricing and corporate accounts.

“Lisa has been very successful in the area vice president role and has emerged as a peer leader for our AVPs across North America,” said Howe. “Her leadership and significant experience will further strengthen corporate accounts and maximize growth potential. She is well-deserving of her new and expanded position.”

Originally from Michigan, Solomon graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, communications and marketing.

Harris Named Point of Rental VP of Global Sales

Point of Rental Software has named Preston Harris as the company’s vice president of global sales to continue the company’s recent growth.

Harris started working for the company in 2015 as a business development manager before heading the company’s Australian operations and establishing an office in Melbourne in 2016. After building the company’s footprint there, he returned to the U.S. to head up global revenue operations for the company before taking up his new role.

McCownGordon Construction Promotes Vaeth to Lead KC Business Unit

Chris Vaeth, a seasoned leader at McCownGordon construction with nearly 20 years of experience with the company, has been named senior vice president of the Kansas City region. In his new role, Vaeth will lead the company’s Kansas City business unit, guiding everything from business development and constructions services to strategic growth and overall operations for the region.

“Chris is a strategic and driven leader with extensive expertise in the market, not only in terms of his construction and financial knowledge, but also his understanding of the broader marketplace, future opportunities, and what our clients in K.C. are looking for from a construction management partner,” said Ramin Cherafat, CEO of the company. “Chris builds strong client relationships and excels at developing successful teams. In his new role, Vaeth, along with others, will lead the company’s regional work in the area, including overseeing the corporate and developer projects, as well as civic, K-12, higher education, healthcare, and science and technology markets across the metro and in nearby Kansas and Missouri locations, as well as the leading the teams in South Dakota and Arkansas. He also serves on the company’s executive leadership team.

Vaeth joined McCownGordon in 2003 after spending a short stint at another national contractor. In his time with McCownGordon, he’s worked in numerous vertical markets and at one time led the firm’s preconstruction services team.

“I’m excited to make a larger impact on our work,” said Vaeth. “My passions are solving challenges and building robust teams that deliver for our clients, knowing that investing in a building is a significant decision for any organization, and owners need a team that keeps their best interests front and center.”

Previously, Vaeth held several high-level roles with McCownGordon, including serving as vice president of the K.C. market and prior to that, vice president of preconstruction services. Vaeth graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and was recently named alum of the year from the Architectural, Environmental and Civil Engineering School.

MBW has announced that Jim Van Beek will be returning to MBW after 15 years and stepping into the chief operating officer role. Since his time at MBW, Van Beek has enjoyed a successful and impressive career at Saelens Corp. In 2007, he took on the role of sales manager and was promoted to director of sales and quality in 2009. In 2013, he was promoted to VP/COO. During his time at Saelens Corp, the organization grew to 165 employees and added a second location. They became ISO-IATF certified and were known for their innovative development of automated manufacturing solutions.

Van Beek earned a bachelor of science degree in MFG engineering and master’s degree in business leadership.

Deutz Makes Organizational Changes 

DEUTZ Corp. has modified the organizational structure of its DEUTZ Power Centers nationwide as the company continues to expand its footprint and service offerings.

Effective immediately, DEUTZ Power Centers will transition to an East-West structure with the general managers from each region reporting to Dominick “Nick” Vermet, vice president of DEUTZ Power Center operations, until his retirement in December.

After Vermet’s departure, the two general managers will report to David Evans, DEUTZ president and CEO.

“The DEUTZ Power Center concept has been very successful since we launched our first location back in 2016,” said Vermet. “Over the past six years, we’ve grown to include nine locations nationwide, each of which offers an extensive range of value-added products and services. Now is the ideal time to restructure in anticipation of future growth so that we can continue exceeding customer expectations.”

Will Hicks, current branch manager at DEUTZ Power Center Southeast will become the general manager of the DEUTZ Power Center’s East Region. Hicks will oversee the branch managers and operations managers of the following DEUTZ Power Centers: Florida South (West Palm Beach), Florida North (Jacksonville), Southeast (Rock Hill, S.C.), Atlantic (Atlantic City, N.J.) and Great Lakes (Elgin, Ill.).

Ben Sanders, current branch manager at DEUTZ Power Center Midwest, will become the general manager of DEUTZ Power Center’s West Region. Branch managers and operations managers of the following DEUTZ Power Centers will report to Sanders: West (North Las Vegas), Mid America (Mansfield, Texas), Midwest (North Kansas City, Mo.) and St. Louis (Earth City, Mo.).

Matt McQuinn, the former service supervisor at DEUTZ Power Center Midwest, will take over Sanders’ role as the branch manager at that location. Nick Crossland will leave his current role as a service technician to become the service supervisor for DEUTZ Power Center Midwest reporting to McQuinn. Steven Long will take on the role of operations manager of DEUTZ Power Center Southeast, and Gary Lewis will become the operations manager of DEUTZ Power Center St. Louis.

“All of these gentlemen have done a remarkable job over the years, working hard to earn their new roles and responsibilities,” Vermet said. “As I prepare to retire, I am confident that their leadership will continue to guide DEUTZ Power Centers to even more success in the years to come.”

DEUTZ Power Centers provide dedicated application engineering and technical sales resources closer to smaller and mid-sized machinery manufacturers that utilize DEUTZ products. These manufacturers can receive custom, value-added production and assembly services that result in the best possible DEUTZ solutions for their engine specification and configuration needs. DEUTZ Power Center customers can also purchase new DEUTZ engines, as well as DEUTZ Xchange remanufactured engines.

ARA Adds to Leadership Team

The American Rental Association (ARA) has announced Erika Singleton as the association’s new workforce development manager. With a background in human resources management, employee training, and program marketing, her role will work to address the industry labor shortage by promoting rental as a career.

“We’re elated to have Singleton on board,” said Tony Conant, ARA CEO. “She’s the perfect fit to support our current and future workplace initiatives due to her extensive experience and her proven success in driving new strategies and solutions forward.”

The current ARA workplace initiatives include an industry job portal, best practices documents, customizable job description templates, employee recruitment videos, and an employee recruitment website.

Singleton will also serve as a resource on additional topics, such as the following:

  • Rental industry public speaking: Tips for speaking at colleges, trade shows, career fairs, and more.
  • Attending career and job fairs: Advice on how to best promote rental careers among various audiences.
  • Workforce solutions: Guidance and resources for attracting quality candidates for rental industry careers and temporary employment opportunities.
  • Alternative funding programs: Understanding special grants, funding, and local and state programs available for employers to use.

Chevron’s Kumar Named President of National Lubricating Grease Institute

Chevron has announced that Anoop Kumar, senior staff scientist at Chevron Corp.’s Richmond Technology Center in California, was named the new president of the National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI). Based in Liberty, Mo., the NLGI is a not-for-profit trade association, primarily composed of companies who manufacture and market all types of lubricating grease.

“We’re thrilled to congratulate Anoop Kumar on this great honor, and we know that he will bring thoughtful and important change to the lubricant and grease industry. Kumar has over 30 years of global experience in product and process development, manufacturing, and applications of lubricating greases and industrial oils, making him an excellent choice to run this organization,” shared Chris Jablonski, vice president, downstream, technology and services at Chevron.

“I am deeply honored, thrilled and grateful to be named president of NLGI. I’ve been an active member since 1997, and I am excited to start this role as I have taken time to outline my strategic priorities,” Kumar expressed. “The grease industry is everchanging, and my goal is to lead the organization toward a more sustainable and successful future.”

Kumar is starting his term by addressing the current lithium shortage impacting the grease market, promoting new NLGI industry standards like the recently released HPM and HPM+ certifications, and starting a conversation about sustainability goals in the grease industry.

Kumar received his chemistry doctorate and his marketing management postgraduate diploma at India’s IIT Roorkee. In 1991, Kumar began his career at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as a research officer and worked there for 17 years. In 1997, while at IOCL, he co-founded and ran the NLGI India Chapter, before leaving IOCL in 2008. He joined the NLGI board in 2012 while working at Royal Manufacturing Co., now Axel Royal LLC, as director for research and development. He is the technical editor of TLT magazine published by the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) and chairman of ASTM D02.G0.02 Consistency and Related Rheological Tests. Kumar has 29 worldwide patents on lubricating greases and more than 90 publications, and presentations.

Travelers Financial Group Names Pamidi CFO, Head of Corporate Strategy

Travelers Financial Group announced that Ashwin Pamidi has been named as chief financial officer and head of corporate strategy.

Pamidi has more than 15 of experience and his most recent responsibility was the vice president and head of global business development for Finning, where he led the mergers and acquisitions activity and was part of the senior leadership team. In the past, Pamidi has held senior positions with National Bank Financial and CIBC World Markets. He earned his bachelor of science at McMaster University, a doctorate at the University of Toronto in medical biophysics and an MBA from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.

“We are very pleased to welcome Ash at Travelers as the newest member of the executive team,” said Jim Case, CEO, Travelers Financial Group. “He will support the business unit leaders in all areas of finance, capital, reporting and strategy. Ruthmann Reachmaster Expands North American Presence

Ruthmann Reachmaster announces the expansion of its team with additions, and an executive appointment. Tom Goyer, and Robin Paeper and Samantha Ayala-Linan have been named to new roles. With decades of experience in the aerial equipment industry, Goyer has been with Ruthmann Reachmaster since 2018.

Ebbe Christensen, president, said, “In addition to Tom’s extensive experience in sales of truck-mounted aerial equipment, this appointment will leverage his operational and management experience as we grow.”

Goyer said he is looking forward to the challenge.

“The whole industry has faced global supply chain and logistical issues. We have met these challenges with growing sales. This has emphasized the need for management structure in order to be able to react quickly to market changes,” he said.

Since 2020, Goyer has held the role of vice president of truck-mounted sales.

“Robin will operate out of Los Angeles expanding our activities in the region, as well as servicing our national accounts. He brings immense industry experience from a long career as manager for national rental companies,” says Christensen.

The company also welcomed Samantha Ayala-Linan, who will begin in her new role at Ruthmann Reachmaster at the Porter, Texas headquarters. She will also serve as a liaison for the company’s growing activities in Mexico.

Eagle Crusher Names New President

Eagle Crusher Co., Inc. has announced that Mike Tinkey has been promoted to president of the company. Tinkey previously served as CFO since joining Eagle Crusher in 2002. Susanne Cobey, who previously served as president, will remain as CEO of the company.

Previously Tinkey served as CEO, Holbrook and Manter, Inc.; CFO, Ohio Industries, Inc. and as accounting and audit manager, Ciuni and Panichi, Inc.

In naming Tinkey president, Cobey stated, “I have been with Eagle Crusher Co. for nearly 48 years, 32 as president and CEO. I have worked closely with Mike for the past 20 years. INDEVCO North America Announces CEO Transition

INDEVCO North America announced that its board of directors has appointed Ned M. Bassil as the company's next CEO, effective Sept. 1, when Pierre Khattar transitions to the board of directors.

Khattar has worked with INDEVCO companies for four decades, including nearly 30 years as chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance at Interstate Resources, Inc. and later as CEO of INDEVCO North America. In his most recent role, Khattar advanced operational excellence and embedded product innovation, customer experience, and value-led sustainability as key components of the corporate strategy.

“Pierre’s leadership was instrumental in forming the foundation of INDEVCO North America; his passion to effectively set up the company for our next growth phase was remarkable,” said Bahjat Frem, executive chairman. “On behalf of the board, I thank Pierre for his valuable contributions and loyalty to the group, and I welcome Ned at this pivotal juncture in INDEVCO North America’s growth trajectory.”

Bassil comes to INDEVCO North America from Beckway Group, where he served as operating partner, liaising with a wide range of industrial and consumer product goods (CPG) clients. He has deep experience in manufacturing and distribution with global expertise in strategy, finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), supply chain, and product management.

Prior to Beckway Group, Bassil worked in the building material distribution industry as senior vice president of product management at PrimeSource and as chief supply chain officer at BlueLinx. As senior advisor at boutique consulting firm, SSA and Co., he guided C-suite clients on growth and operational improvements. Bassil has also held executive positions at Stanley Black and Decker and Royal Philips Electronics.

Bassil earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University and his MBA in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Koberg Named Chairman of SC&RA Outrigger Mat Resource Task Force

The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SC&RA) has named Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA, as chairman of its new Outrigger Mat Resource Task Force, which is part of the Safety Education and Training Committee. The objective of the task force will be to advance awareness of existing standards and regulations. It will also provide information related to different types of supporting material and best practices for selecting and using outrigger pads and mats.
