Newforma has appointed Benjamin Bazso as senior vice president of engineering as the company advances its artificial intelligence strategy for the architecture, engineering, construction and owner (AECO) industry.
A veteran of Samsung Ads and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Bazso will oversee development of tools designed to improve project and information management. The company said it will focus first on email management, long considered one of the sector’s biggest challenges.
Email remains a critical source of project documentation, with more than 75% of case evidence in construction-related litigation tied to email. Still, employees often spend hours searching for communications, and many firms anticipate rising legal disputes tied to missing records.
Newforma said its AI roadmap will include systems to capture, classify and connect project data across teams, beginning with its Newforma Konekt platform. The company described the effort as a step toward reducing risk, improving collaboration and increasing efficiency across the AECO sector.
