The North American Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA) and Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) plan to merge in January 2027, forming a unified organization called Associated Equipment Dealers (AED).

The combined association will represent equipment dealers and distributors across the U.S. and Canada, with a focus on advocacy, workforce development, education, dealer-manufacturer relations, research and member services.

Leaders from both organizations said the merger is intended to strengthen industry representation with policymakers, manufacturers and other stakeholders.

Staff from NAEDA and AED will work together before the merger takes effect to maintain member programs and services during the transition.
