Volvo Penta has partnered with Stara to power a new self-propelled spreader designed for higher-capacity fertilizer application.
The Hércules 9.0 spreader features a 9-ton hopper intended to reduce refill frequency and improve uptime in the field. It is powered by Volvo Penta’s D8 engine, which delivers high torque at lower engine speeds to support fuel efficiency and consistent performance.
The machine was tested in Brazil in 2025 through pilot units operating under varying conditions before moving into production. Initial deliveries are expected to begin this month.
The collaboration reflects ongoing equipment development focused on improving productivity and operating efficiency in agriculture.
