The American Concrete Institute (ACI) announces the winners of its Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Composites Student Competition, held recently at the Concrete Convention and Exposition in Cincinnati.
The competition objectives were for students to design, construct and test a concrete structure reinforced with fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) to achieve the optimal load-to-cost ratio, predict the ultimate load and predict the load that will result in a piston deflection of 0.14 in.
