Makita has released the 40V max XGT Brushless 1/2-in. Mixer (GTU01) for use in both residential and general construction to mix concrete, mortar and more. The 1/2-in. cordless mixer offers variable speed control to match the speed of the tool to the application.

“With the power capabilities of Makita’s 40-volt max XGT System, the new 1/2-in. Mixer makes a great addition,” said Rudy Jansen, product marketing manager, residential construction, Makita U.S.A., Inc. “With its power capability, ergonomic dual handle design and mechanical 2-speed gearing the GTU01 can accomplish mixing a variety of materials while maintaining comfort and control.”

The GTU01 features a variable speed dial that allows the user to adjust the speed from 0-500 rpm in Speed 1 and 0-920 rpm in Speed 2. Soft start suppresses start-up reaction for control.

Durability

The tool is equipped with a dual handle design and soft grip. The GTU01 features a protective cover that helps prevent battery contamination from splash back from the mixing compound. There is also a rubber trigger cover that protects the trigger from mixing compound build up.

For durability in harsh jobsite conditions, the Mixer features Extreme Protection Technology (XPT), which is engineered for dust and water resistance. A protective cover helps prevent battery contamination from mixing compound splash back.

XGT Series

The new 40V max XGT Brushless Cordless 1/2-in. Mixer is part of Makita XGT, an expanding system of 40V max and 80V max cordless equipment and tools. XGT gives users one system, from core handheld tools like drills and impact drivers to equipment-grade products including high-capacity saws, rotary hammers and power cutters – all powered by 40V max XGT batteries.
