X Connector Load Transfer Device

Thermomass has developed a new load transfer device, the X Connector, capable of enhancing both structurally composite and non-composite precast sandwich wall panels. The x-shaped device is comprised of fiber-composite bars and an insulated receptacle capable of setting the depth of the bars. The unit ensures the continuity of the insulation layer will not be compromised with thermal bridges or solid zones of concrete, retaining the hydrothermal benefits of precast sandwich walls.
