What topics is the TCA looking for?
The Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) is looking for a wide array of topics that are innovative, engaging, inspiring and informative for tilt-up professionals around the world. The TCA’s goal is to offer industry relevant education to help attendees do their jobs more effectively and make their companies more successful. The TCA is interested in receiving proposals that address current and/or emerging issues confronting tilt-up professionals and the leaders of the industry worldwide.
Convention Theme: Big Demand for Big Ideas
The 2018 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo will once again bring together many of the tilt-up industry’s most creative and experienced contractors, architects, engineers and suppliers. Over three days, nearly five hundred of these professionals will share how demand for big ideas is opening the door for tilt-up methodology, engaging an ever-increasing number of building types in an ever-widening global market.
Evidence of this evolution can be seen in TCA’s “Tilt-Up Top Ten,” where in the last cycle some of the most impressive records in recent years have transpired. This involves four new #1 projects, including records for Tallest Panel, Largest Floor Area, Largest Footprint, and Most Recycled Content, along with additions for Heaviest, Widest, and Tallest Cantilever panels. Accompanying this activity is a new crop of the very best projects globally vying for the Achievement Awards and setting pace for the industry. This much activity clearly indicates the challenge for project teams to be connected and engaged, remaining in tune and capable to respond to these modern program statements. The market for big ideas is in high demand.
