Mobile app: GoPush
Developer: John Deere
Cost: Free
Available on: Apple and Android devices

Designed for use with its 1050K crawler dozer, the John Deere GoPush app lets 1050K operators and fleet managers enhance productivity and efficiency with daily service information, extreme site condition recommendations, maintenance checklists, machine setup and an icon glossary.

Operators doing general inspections have a quick, easy checklist and component photos right at their fingertips. Plus, while they are inspecting the machine operators can use smartphone functions like Notebook, email and the camera to help document and communicate issues that need follow up, says Liz Quinn, John Deere WorkSight product marketing manager with John Deere Construction & Forestry.

"We’ve essentially put key machine information from our Operator’s Manual into a mobile app, which has been a well-received, convenient way to actually use the information in the field," Quinn says. But she notes that the GoPush app does not replace the operator's manual.

App features:

  • Walk-around checklist for daily service items
  • Guide to help understand unique crawler features
  • Tips to customize the crawler operating experience and productivity during regular and extreme operating conditions
  • Icon glossary helps users familiarize themselves with the instrument panel
