Trackunit and DEWALT are partnering to help contractors locate tools across construction jobsites by integrating DEWALT Tool Connect technology with the Trackunit Network.

This integration will allow contractors to access tool location data through Trackunit’s platform, using connected equipment already operating on jobsites to help locate compatible DEWALT tools across multiple projects.

The partnership addresses challenges associated with tool availability and theft, which can delay work and increase costs for contractors managing large inventories. Construction equipment theft costs the U.S. industry an estimated $300 million to $1 billion annually, according to the National Equipment Register and National Insurance Crime Bureau.

The initial rollout will focus on tool location across contractor operations worldwide, with plans to expand data capabilities as the DEWALT Tool Connect platform develops.
