Trackunit has introduced digital pre-use equipment inspections through its IrisX data platform, allowing contractors and rental companies to conduct machine-specific safety checks through the Trackunit On app.
The system replaces paper-based pre-checks with guided digital inspections. Each check is timestamped and linked to a specific operator and machine, creating a record of who completed the inspection and what was found.
Operators can also document issues with photos and notes. Inspection data is connected with machine health information in IrisX, allowing managers to view inspection status across jobsites and identify equipment issues before machines leave the yard.
For contractors, the system provides digital safety documentation. Rental companies can use inspection records to document equipment condition when machines leave and return to the fleet.
