Command Post Technologies Inc. has released Command Post Notes, a fourth-generation mobile daily reporting application developed by company founder Peter Lasensky, whose work has influenced digital field reporting in construction for more than 20 years.

Lasensky introduced early mobile reporting tools beginning with SkyLog, followed by NoteVault, which used voice-based reporting over telephone networks, and later the industry’s first iOS-based daily report application. Command Post Notes continues that progression, focusing on real-time documentation captured directly at the jobsite rather than after the fact in offices or trailers.

The app is designed for use at the workface, allowing workers to document conditions, activities and events as they occur. According to the company, projects using the platform generate significantly higher volumes of contemporaneous field records compared with traditional daily reporting methods. The system time-stamps entries to support project documentation, dispute resolution and change order justification.

Command Post Notes also includes multilingual functionality intended to address communication challenges on diverse jobsites. Workers can speak or type entries in their native language, which are automatically translated into English while preserving the original text. The feature is intended to improve accuracy and consistency in daily reports, which often serve as formal project records.
