Teletrac Navman has extended its partnership with HERE Technologies to improve the accuracy and reliability of driver safety data for fleet operators. The agreement will support continued integration of HERE’s mapping and location services into the TN360 platform, helping customers monitor and assess driver performance across vehicle fleets.
Through the partnership, Teletrac Navman uses data from HERE—including geocoding, route matching, road attributes, and speed limit information—to report events such as harsh braking, rapid acceleration, and speeding. These insights are used to create driver safety scorecards and benchmark performance, supporting training efforts and safety-focused fleet programs.
The extended agreement introduces more frequent updates to key location attributes, including speed limits, low bridge warnings, and road signage. These updates help ensure driver behavior reports reflect the most current conditions on the road, enabling accurate post-trip reviews and informed coaching.
"Customers trying to promote safety in their fleets need the most accurate information to inform training programs and manage risk," said Doug Haebig, Director of Product Management at Teletrac Navman. "Using post-trip analytics, customers can look retrospectively at behavior and ensure that driver safety programs are informed using the most up-to-date information."
TN360 evaluates telematics data to provide a clearer picture of driver activity—tracking metrics such as speed, idle time, acceleration, and braking. This data is used to identify risk, rank drivers, and support targeted safety improvements across fleets.
The integration aims to help fleet operators move beyond simple incident tracking by providing a more complete and contextual understanding of driver behavior on the road.
