5 Things To Know: FAA Task Force Recommends Drone Registry

A Federal Aviation Administration task force recommends the government set up a simple registration system for anyone who owns an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), sometimes called “drone,” heavier than 250 grams, which is about half a pound.

1. The recommendations aren't the rules yet
2. Recommendations focus on registering the owner, not each drone
3. Name and address are the only registration requirements
