Navman Wireless, a provider of GPS-based fleet management solutions, entered a new partnership with OEM Data Delivery, a division of OEM Controls. Along with the news of the collaboration, Navman released details of the new standardized fuel-delivery monitoring system the companies jointly developed.

Renaat Ver Eecke, North American vice-president and general manager, Navman Wireless, made the official announcement March 18 at AEMP’s 30th Management Conference and Annual meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz.

“AEMP has played such a large part in the push for standardized telematics systems, so we felt this would be the ideal venue in which to go public with the news,” he said. “Additionally, we actually met OEM Data at AEMP’s 2011 Management Conference and Annual Meeting, and have been in talks to collaborate ever since.”

The new standardized fuel-delivery monitoring system tracks crucial data, such as consumption and burn rates, across all OEM equipment.

“Especially with fuel costs continuing to skyrocket, fleet managers need a solution to address the challenge of utilizing different systems for each OEM’s equipment,” Ver Eecke continued. “Combining our telematics delivery system with OEM Data Delivery’s fuel tracking, we feel we’re providing the best of both offerings to the industry.”
