Brookfield introduces an Automatic Gap Setting feature for the RST-CPS Touch Cone/Plate rheometer. Previously customers would use a dial indicator gauge to manually set the critical gap between the nose of the spindle cone and the plate of the instrument. Now the instrument can do it automatically. Brookfield’s Automatic Spindle Recognition System utilizes a barcode on the spindle shaft to identify the spindles cone diameter, angle and truncation value. The RST-CPS Touch reads the barcode and then automatically sets the gap to the proper truncation value for consistent, repeatable measurements.
