New products, equipment, and general tools are launched every day. Whether a new asset for the fleet, updated with new engineering, or a solution to a problem, these products have been designed to address it.
Trenchers deliver far more than commodity performance. Different sizes and horsepower, and even types, can address different jobs. No matter if it’s installing a new irrigation line, drainage, or otherwise, customers should know if and where underground utilities are placed. Always call 811 before any digging. Here are 5 trenchers equipment rental companies to check out.
The Improved TRX-250 Walk-Behind Trencher
From The Toro Company

The TRX-250 and TRX-300 walk-behind trenchers feature Intelli-Trench technology, which optimizes hydraulic flow for the digging conditions. This system automatically diverts the hydraulic flow from the traction motors, providing more power for the trencher head. As a result, the traction handle can be held in one place without requiring constant adjustment, reducing operator fatigue and optimizing performance. In addition, the feature decreases track wear and maintains engine RPM for efficient engine cooling.
Skid & Track Loader Trencher Attachments
From Blue Diamond
Blue Diamond Attachments
Built for durability, Blue Diamond trenchers feature reinforced high-stress areas, continuous welds, and added gusseting to prevent deformation in tough conditions. Practical design elements — including manual side-shift capability, extended auger flighting, multiple chain options and a self-adjusting crumber — enhance usability and performance. Compatible with both skid steers and track loaders, these trenchers accommodate hydraulic flows from 13–45 GPM.
The MTR726 Microtrencher Attachment
From Vermeer
The MTR726 trencher attachment, on an RTX750 tractorVermeer
Compatible with the RTX750 ride-on tractor, the MTR726 can cut trenches up to 27 inches deep and 3 inches wide. The attachment joins Vermeer's existing microtrenching offerings, including the MTR516 microtrencher, core saw and concrete reinstatement attachments.
The MTR726 features a fully enclosed cutting wheel designed to help contain debris and improve vacuum suction during operation. Additional features include welded polycrystalline diamond cutter (PDC) teeth for cutting asphalt, single-lever depth control and up to 24 inches of right offset for work alongside curbs.
To help reduce downtime, the attachment includes a dual-hinged access panel for blade maintenance and replacement. Vermeer said crews can change blades in as little as 25 minutes. The unit also features field-serviceable wear plates and a replaceable spoil outlet compatible with 4-inch and 6-inch vacuum hoses.
