Vermeer has added the MTR726 microtrencher attachment to its microtrenching equipment lineup, providing contractors with a solution for fiber installation projects that require deeper trench depths.

Compatible with the RTX750 ride-on tractor, the MTR726 can cut trenches up to 27 inches deep and 3 inches wide. The attachment joins Vermeer's existing microtrenching offerings, including the MTR516 microtrencher, core saw and concrete reinstatement attachments.

The MTR726 features a fully enclosed cutting wheel designed to help contain debris and improve vacuum suction during operation. Additional features include welded polycrystalline diamond cutter (PDC) teeth for cutting asphalt, single-lever depth control and up to 24 inches of right offset for work alongside curbs.

To help reduce downtime, the attachment includes a dual-hinged access panel for blade maintenance and replacement. Vermeer said crews can change blades in as little as 25 minutes. The unit also features field-serviceable wear plates and a replaceable spoil outlet compatible with 4-inch and 6-inch vacuum hoses.
