Volvo Construction Equipment is redesigning its L30 and L35 compact wheel loaders with the models' first major frame update since their introduction in 1998.
The updated loaders feature redesigned rear sections with new mounting points for rear-mounted equipment, along with hydraulic and electrical connections that can be added or retrofitted with less installation work. Auxiliary hydraulic flow reaches up to 26.4 gpm on the L30 and 29.1 gpm on the L35.
The frame changes also provide improved access for service and repairs. Split side-mounted counterweights can be removed when needed, while a larger opening in the front frame provides access to key components.
The cab entrance has been redesigned with three steps, handrails and a wider-opening door. Inside, the loaders feature a 5-inch display, adjustable steering column and ergonomic joystick.
Production of the updated L30 and L35 is scheduled to begin in late 2026, with shipments expected to follow.
