JCB JC145 to JS220 Tier 4 Final Excavators

The JS145 to JS220 excavators incorporate Ecomax diesel engines that employ selective catalytic reduction with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to meet Tier 4 Final, with no diesel particulate filter required.

• Body styling updated to incorporate improved access to the superstructure of the machines and increased cooling capacity
• DEF levels continually monitored by the SMART electronic control unit, which warns when fluid levels reach 15%
• Limp home mode allows continued operation at reduced power and engine speed if DEF levels get too low
• Larger filler neck on diesel tank allows faster refueling, while a pop-up in-tank fuel indicator prevents over filling
• JS220 series includes Kawasaki hydraulic pumps that produce increased flow, allowing the engine to run at lower rpm for the same hydraulic output, cutting fuel consumption and noise levels
• All models include a 34% larger cooling pack, with the charge air cooler and air conditioning condenser fully hinged to allow easy access for cleaning
• New steps and handrails allow three-point access and egress at all times to the engine and top of the upperstructure
