DEVELON introduced its new -9 Series crawler excavators in North America during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026.
The company showcased four models — DX230LC-9, DX260LC-9, DX360LC-9 and DX400LC-9 — designed to improve productivity, safety and operator comfort. The new machines will gradually replace the current -7 Series excavators in North America and are expected to be available through dealerships in 2026.
The excavators include new technology such as Advanced Lift Assist, which displays lifting capacity and alerts operators to potential tipping hazards. A breaker assist feature also helps prevent blank firing during demolition work.

Safety upgrades include a camera and radar system that provides a 360-degree view around the machine, along with AI-based human detection. Additional features include an automatic emergency stop if a person enters a designated danger zone and digital “virtual walls” that help prevent the boom or bucket from striking obstacles.
The machines also feature a 12-inch touchscreen display, integrated 2D machine guidance and predictive maintenance monitoring to help reduce downtime. A Bluetooth-enabled digital key is available through the MY DEVELON fleet management app.
