Volvo Ends Motor Grader, Milling Machine Production at Shippensburg Facility

Approximately 15% of the workforce at the Shippensburg facility will be affected with employment changes happening incrementally through 2015

According to the Central Penn Business Journal, Volvo Construction Equipment is ending production of motor graders and milling machines at it's Shippensburg facility, reducing the number of positions at the facility. The restructuring will affect both factory and office workers and represents about 15 percent of the employees based in Shippensburg. The company says employment changes will happen incrementally throughout 2015.

The company will move forward with existing plans to localize additional wheel loader models to Shippensburg with production beginning in the first half of 2015.
