Bergkamp is partnering with industry veteran Jim Rawson, founder of the former Rawson Manufacturing, to reintroduce a screening plant designed for microsurfacing operations. The collaboration is not an acquisition, but it allows Bergkamp to bring a unit to market that closely follows Rawson’s well-known, now-unavailable model.
The move comes as contractors seek a dependable aggregate screening option tailored to microsurfacing crews. Company leaders said the updated plant is engineered with a low screening platform for easier screen changes, a transport-ready frame to handle frequent moves and enough horsepower to support optional water and emulsion pumps for on-site stockpile filling.
Bergkamp said the reintroduced design aims to address daily workflow challenges and expand the company’s lineup for microsurfacing contractors, complementing its existing pavers and support equipment. Initial outreach to longtime customers has begun, with more product information expected in the months ahead.
