JCB has been awarded an order from the British Army for 236 machines.
The machines will be delivered by the end of January 2011 to ALC, a joint venture between Amey and Babcock International, which is the service provider to the Ministry of Defence for plant and mechanical handling equipment for the British Army.
The award is for 138 JCB 4CX backhoe loaders and 98 JCB 436eHT wheel loading shovels. The backhoe loaders are made at JCB’s World HQ, Rocester, and the wheeled loading shovels at JCB Earthmovers, Cheadle.
