BOMAG Americas has expanded its light equipment sales team, appointing new leadership roles to better serve the growing needs of national and regional rental customers. These strategic hires are aimed at improving responsiveness, reducing territory sizes, and enhancing support for equipment selection, service, and operations.

National Accounts Focus

Jim Davis has been named Director of National Accounts, Light Equipment. With over 40 years of industry experience, Davis will lead the company’s engagement with large rental chains including United Rentals, Sunbelt Rentals, Sunstate Equipment, and HERC. His responsibilities include managing key account programs related to pricing, warranty, rebates, and product training.

Davis brings decades of national rental account management and sales leadership to the role, particularly in light equipment and fuel storage markets. His goal is to establish a formal structure to support major rental partners across North America.

Regional Sales Appointments

Three new regional sales managers have also joined the light equipment team to provide localized support to rental partners:

  • Cody Nichols now oversees the Northeast region, supporting rental customers across 11 states from Maine to Delaware. Nichols brings a decade of sales and business development experience in construction-related industries.
  • Alex Schmantowsky covers the Midwest region, working with rental companies across nine states. His background includes technical sales in equipment and energy solutions, as well as experience in small business ownership and customer support.
  • Jacob Salinas manages the Pacific Southwest territory, covering California, Nevada, and Arizona. A second-generation industry professional, Salinas has experience in regional equipment sales and sees growth opportunities in both traditional and electric light equipment.

These additions are part of BOMAG’s ongoing strategy to deepen support for both independent rental businesses and national accounts by offering more direct access to product expertise, technical support and regional market knowledge.

The company continues to focus on helping rental providers select the right light compaction equipment, support emerging zero-emissions requirements and improve jobsite productivity through responsive service and training.
