Metabo's BE1020 is a 1/2-in. drill that provides up to 248-in.-lbs. of torque with an 8.2 A motor and has a drilling capacity of 5/8 in. in steel and 1 9/16 in. in softwood. Features include an ergonomic pistol-grip design, accessible trigger button, 2-speed gearbox, thumbwheel to preselect tool speed, Metabo's S-automatic torque-controlling safety clutch and a removable chuck for access to the drill's spindle which has a hexagon recess that accepts screwdriver bits up to 1/4 in. The BE1020 can be combined with Metabo's drill stand to transform into a portable drill press. The tool's winding protection grid deflects harmful airborne debris away from armature windings.
