Welcome to Las Vegas and CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017

It seems like just yesterday we were preparing for CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017, but here we are already three years later getting ready for the 2017 show. This year's show, which runs from March 7-11, will have over 2,500 exhibitors (with nearly 700 new exhibitors) and cover over 2,500,000 square feet. In addition, there will be more than 150 education sessions offered during the course of the week. The educational classes are split into 10 tracks including new tracks on technology, business management and workforce development (learn more about some of the education class on page ?? of this issue). The IFPE 2017 show will also be co-located at the Las Vegas Convention Center with CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017.

This year technology is front and center as CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 invites us to "Imagine What's Next". The new Tech Experience in the Silver Lot will feature over 75,000 square feet of exhibit space where over 30 exhibitors will be displaying and demoing new construction innovations and emerging technologies that will drive change and improvement across the construction industry. Also on display in the Tech Experience will the the first fully functional 3D printed excavator as well as two of the 3D printing processes used to help create some of the excavator's components. The article on page ?? takes an in-depth look at the story behind the 3D printed excavator, the processes used to create it and how it will influence the future of the construction industry.
