9 Construction Workers Injured During Partial Overpass Collapse

Work was suspended over the weekend on a Highway 91 widening project in California. Nine workers were injured after a new highway section being lowered into place over Corona street dropped more than a foot and hit wooden support beams that then struck workers.

All nine workers were beneath the bridge deck, and three of the workers were critically injured. Eight remained hospitalized over the weekend.
