Revenues from services were up 20.9% to €19.7 million (US$ 24.6 million), due to increased activity from rental companies.

“The global market for powered access platforms has continued the favourable trend observed during 2013, but is now driven by Europe and Asia Pacific,” a company statement said. Half-year growth in Europe was 29 percent and North America 26 percent. Asia Pacific business increased 22 percent. Latin America was weaker, with a 31-percent decrease.

Haulotte expects full-year growth of more than 15 percent due to the rebound of the European market. The company attributes that growth to the aging of aerial fleets as opposed to any real improvement in the economic outlook.

During the second quarter, Haulotte Group acquired a 50-percent stake in its Turkish distributor.
