More than 140,000 construction professionals gathered in Las Vegas for CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 to buy equipment, conduct business and explore the innovations shaping the future of construction.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, which took place March 3-7, brought together contractors, manufacturers, technology leaders and workforce advocates to showcase new equipment, emerging technologies and solutions designed to help the construction sector build more efficiently, safely and sustainably.
From massive earthmoving machines, towering cranes and next-generation paving equipment to digital jobsite solutions, automation, sustainability and advancements, CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 featured over 2,000 exhibitors spanning more than 3 million square feet of exhibit space, showcasing the latest equipment, technology and services across every major construction sector.
Being that this was my first CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 experience, here are 7 takeaways.
1. Attempt to break GUINESS WORLD RECORD with high-visibility vests.
The show kicked off with an attempt to break the GUINESS WORLD RECORD, where 2,499 participants had to wear high-visibility safety vests in one place.
Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM)
The current record is held by the Mental Health Australia from 2019, but at this year’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, the goal was to beat this record to spotlight the vital role the industry plays in shaping communities and infrastructure across the continent.
While we didn’t win, just being a part of such a wonderful experience that potentially could’ve made history was enough for me.

This workshop created space for women-owned construction businesses, decision-makers, future leaders, and allies to share real-world experiences, expand professional networks and explore strategies for business growth and building stronger workplaces.
7. Small business workshop to promote small businesses
The Small Business Workshop is part of a series of new industry-focused education programs designed for entrepreneurs, family-owned companies and firms with up to 50 employees to focus on practical strategies for growth, networking and leadership development.
Topics ranged from tax planning and fleet selection to bidding, growth, employee retention and technology.
