KPA has separated its Flex and Risk Management Center software businesses into a standalone company, Novara.

Novara will focus on AI-enabled safety and operational risk management software for high-risk industries, including construction, manufacturing, utilities and oil and gas. The company will primarily deliver its solutions through the Flex SaaS platform, which supports safety workflows and centralized risk oversight.

Michael Bruns, former CEO of KPA, has been named CEO of Novara. Wayne Curtis has been appointed CEO of KPA, which will continue to focus on compliance software, training and consulting services for the automotive sector.

KPA said the separation allows both organizations to specialize in distinct markets with different regulatory and operational needs.
