Saudia Arabia will continue construction of the world's tallest skyscraper after financial difficulties and technical challenges have delayed the project over the past couple of years. The consortium behind the $1.5 billion project, Jeddah Economic Co, hopes to have the project completed by 2020.

The Jeddah Tower will feature residential and hotel space as well as shopping facilities. It is projected to be 3,281 feet tall — 565 feet taller than the world's current tallest building, Dubai's Burj Khalifa.
