Bobcat Company introduced a new line of lithium-ion battery packs designed for Class I forklifts, with North American availability expected in early 2026.
The batteries are compatible with cushion tire, pneumatic tire and three-wheel forklifts and are offered in 48-volt and 80-volt models with 400Ah and 600Ah capacities.
The systems are designed to provide consistent power in high-use environments such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities and distribution centers. According to the company, the batteries can charge up to 50% faster than some comparable systems and do not require watering, routine maintenance or battery swaps.
The battery packs meet UL 2580 safety standards and support UL 583 certification when installed in electric forklifts.
Additional features include vibration-resistant construction, thermal management for heavy-duty cycles and an integrated heating pad to maintain performance in cold environments. The batteries also carry an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
