ENEROC USA’s online calculator estimates the lithium battery capacity required to replace a propane lift truck with an electric one. The user enters the machine’s load capacity, battery voltage, and a shift length. The calculator returns the required battery size in kilowatt-hours and the equivalent amp-hour rating, along with estimated annual energy cost before and after the conversion.
The conversion figures come from manufacturer specifications published under ISO 23308, the international standard for measuring energy consumption in industrial trucks. Because propane and electric trucks of the same rated capacity are measured on an identical test cycle, their consumption can be compared directly. The calculator applies extra margins for metered operating hours, end-of-life battery capacity, and cold or outdoor operating conditions.
