JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] and leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers, announces the expansion of its R Series scissor line with the launch of its new, R1932i indoor-only scissor lift. This compact model will be on display at The ARA Show, Feb. 10-12 in Orlando, Florida, at booth #5001.

Following extensive job site assessment and end user input, this19’ lift weighing 2,549 pounds, with a maximum capacity of 500 pounds, is being launched in response to increased demand for lighter weight machines and trends indicating an increase in the number of job sites requiring 19’, single operator models.

The new ANSI 92.20 compliant R1932i is 32 inches wide and has a platform height of 19 feet. Rated for indoor use only, it is best suited for job sites with sensitive floor load requirements such as multi-story construction, schools and hospitals.

“As we worked through the new ANSI 92.20 requirements, we developed a unique solution that resulted in the company’s first indoor-only scissor lift, a product that offers up to a 25’ work height,” said Rafael Nunez, senior product manager, scissor and vertical lifts, JLG. “We are delivering a product that meets our customers’ needs with the 1932i. This new scissor works at the same height as traditional 19’ models without the excess weight or capacity restrictions required on indoor/outdoor units.”

This new R-1932i model includes a fold-down rail system or optional QuickFold rails for use when working or moving the lift in and through tight spaces. It retains the value-driven qualities customers have come to expect from the JLG R-Series hydraulic drive scissor line and joins the popular R1932 model, which remains rated for both indoor and outdoor use at full height.

“True to JLG, productivity and safety remain at the forefront on this new indoor model,” said Shashank Bhatia, senior director, global product development. “Standard features include variable tilt, a pressure-based load sensing system and controlled elevation/travel descent. These features allow operators to work with greater confidence.”
