JLG Industries has introduced a new Rapid Replaceable Platform as a standard feature on select boom lift models in North America. Designed to simplify and speed up in-field platform replacements, this update allows damaged or worn platforms to be swapped with minimal machine downtime.
Compared to traditional replacement methods, the new platform system enables faster servicing, helping equipment stay in operation and reducing costly delays. Key updates to the platform design include:
- Standard center storage tray and self-closing gates
- Integrated dual USB-A and USB-C chargers
- Tool clip locations on both sides of the console box (22-lb capacity)
- Relocated manual storage box for better protection
- LED light beneath the console for platform illumination
- Maintains original rated platform capacity
- Compatible with JLG-approved accessories
Beginning May 2025, the Rapid Replaceable Platform will phase into production for applicable models across all platform sizes. However, it is not compatible with older, traditional platform designs — customers will need to match their model with the correct replacement via JLG’s Online Express system.
At this time, the update does not apply to Toucan®, Tow-Pro®, or Compact Crawler Boom Lifts, which will continue using the traditional platform.
The new platform aims to streamline routine service and help jobsite operations run more efficiently by minimizing equipment downtime.
