The shift toward electric power is no longer a future concept — it is a commercial reality. However, bridging the gap between engineering theory and real-world adoption requires more than just a battery. It requires a unified ecosystem of products, service-based solutions and diverse companies coming together.

The Rental E-Summit, "A CALL TO ACTION: Navigating the Electrification Ecosystem," brought a collection of top rental industry decision-makers from OEMs, rental leadership, technology sectors and industry associations together to discuss the issues at hand. Run by Vanguard, the Rental E-Summit was held October 6-7 in Atlanta.

This collaborative effort aims to solve the friction of integration and build rental-ready electric fleets that drive high utilization and a measurable ROI.

Focusing on Integration & Fleet Implementation

Attendees focused on the practicalities of real-world fleet deployment. Discussions centered on the immediate operational and engineering strategies required to successfully bring electrified equipment to the commercial market. Central to these equipment strategies is the deployment of commercial battery packs and integrated systems designed to help OEMs streamline integration, reduce powertrain complexity and scale production efficiently.

David Frank, senior vice president and president of electrification at Briggs & Stratton:

“True commercial success in the electric market cannot happen in a vacuum — it requires a complete, connected power ecosystem. By aligning OEMs, rental companies and technology innovators in a single forum, we can collectively solve complex application challenges and move past conceptual promises. This level of collaboration is exactly how we simplify equipment integration and build the framework necessary to deploy highly utilized, high-ROI electric fleets right now.”
