F-Series Asphalt Paver Service Training
This 4-day course provides theory and hands-on training for customer technicians. Upon completion, students will be able to trace the flow of oil through hydraulic systems, test and adjust hydraulic pressures, troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, and explain ECM functions and calibration steps for the AP1000F, AP1055F, AP600F, AP655F, AP500F and AP555F asphalt pavers.

Paving Operations Training
This course is designed for paving supervisors and paving crew members with one or more years of experience with the lay down of hot mix asphalt. Training is taught using Cat “F” Series Pavers with Caterpillar Grade and Slope systems. The daily curriculum includes classroom and hands-on training.
Classroom interactive sessions include fundamentals of paving; Paving By the Numbers; understanding grade and slope controls; screed adjustments; understanding mat defects; compaction basics.
The hands–on training portion of the class include transverse and longitudinal joint construction; feeder system set-up and adjustments; variable width paving; grade/slope set-up and troubleshooting; ECM calibration; critical screed adjustments.

COURSE: Paver: Machine Operations & Quality
This course is part of the Florida International University (FIU) Paving Academy, a certificate program established by FIU College of Engineering & Computing, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Green Paving Initiative.
It provides equipment owners, operators, user-fixers, paving crews and technicians with efficient, effective and safe methods for getting the most out of paving equipment.
